Leonie Barlow a.k.a the Style Insider is a 56-year-old journalist who spent over 20-years editing some of New Zealand’s top selling women’s lifestyle titles. She spent 7 years as an editor of New Zealand’s largest fashion magazine, Fashion Quarterly. She left her magazine career 13 years ago to spend more time with her sons. Leonie went ALL IN on her YouTube channel this year, and never looked back.
Leonie started her career as a content creator as a blogger, and she was actually one of the first bloggers in New Zealand. A lot of her blogs featured video content, and she was utilizing YouTube to host her videos. A few years later, she realized that Youtube was more than just a place to host videos, and it was actually its own platform. Leonie loves a challenge, but what started as a pipe dream grew into something beyond her wildest dreams.
“Manage your expectations and don’t compare yourself to others.”
