Christina Mychas is a YouTuber, entrepreneur, writer and pharmacist who explores emotional spending, practical minimalism and self-development. A self-proclaimed shopaholic with over $120,000 in student loan debt, Christina realized she needed to change her emotional spending habits and face the financial mess she always felt stuck in. Using principles of practical minimalism, intentional living and mindfulness, Christina was able to pay off all her debt in less than six years.
Along her journey, she has built a community of over 300,000 people across her social media platforms. Through her channels, she has shared her own journey and encourages women to shift their spending from impulsive to intentional, find abundance in what they have right now, and change their relationships with their money and their shopping to build the intentional life they want. Christina has been featured on multiple podcasts such as Clever Girl Finance, The Financial Confessions, and Be School, as well as press articles including CNBC, the Canadian Press and the Toronto Star. She currently lives and works in Toronto, Canada.
Christina started her YouTube channel in 2017 after having done fashion and lifestyle content on instagram. YouTube just seemed to be the next step. She started off doing hauls and fashion-related content but has pivoted from where she started to intentional living, intentional spending, and her journey to getting out of debt. Talk about a complete 180! It was during this shift where most of her growth came, because she had begun to create more authentic content as she took her audience along her journey with her.
