Who wants to build a truly authentic brand that attracts tons of people who are excited to hear your message and do business with you?! Is that YOU? Well if it is, Coach Glitter, Tiffany Lee Bymaster – makeup artist and personal stylist turned online brand-building powerhouse – is here to get you in shape! She has brought the keys to unlock your brand and business growth. Grab your pen and notebook and let’s go!

Tiffany’s business started 20 years ago when she was working as a makeup artist and personal stylist. She spent years doing LA fashion week and other runway shows, reality tv – everything behind the camera. But when she put herself in front of the camera she found herself! And she hasn’t stopped sharing with her audience via video since. Her transition to becoming a live video rockstar started with her sharing the behind-the-scenes of her work on set and tricks ladies can use to look runway star fabulous. That has erupted into a multi-six figure business where she helps female online entrepreneurs use live video to promote their businesses.

“Remember we all started from scratch, so you’re supposed to be terrible, it requires so much practice time.”

She now has done over 1,400 live videos. Showing up consistently live has allowed her to build an amazing business and speak on stages. Tiffany delivers so much value in this episode and in her course that you’re going to want to check out. She shared a ton of insights on how to position yourself for growth, the best ways to capitalize on live video and how to get your content in front of new eyeballs using Facebook. She is a branding queen so you’re going to learn a lot there as well. We’ve been working hard to make this conversation happen and now that it’s here, you’ll see that she’s delivered so much and more!

“Regardless of how much experience you have in your business, there are always amazing ways to level up, challenge yourself and discover gifts inside you.”

6 Key Interview Takeaways

  1. Show. Don’t just tell. A lot of what grew Tiffany’s audience and skyrocketed her brand was pulling back the curtains on what goes on as a stylist and makeup artist to models and TV stars. People found that really fascinating – much more fascinating that putting the camera to your face and telling a story. In this social media age, people are craving unique and different experiences and perspectives from their own. So show them the fascinating parts of your life.
  2. Create content that’s sharable. One thing I always say is you need to show people that you care about them first before you ask them to care about you. What does that have to do with content that is sharable? Well, if someone who doesn’t know you finds your content and it’s entertaining and also solves a problem they’re having, they’re more likely to share that than if they found a vlog showcasing your life. When you have a firmly established audience base then you can pull the curtain back some more, but make sure that at the core of what you’re doing is helping and entertaining people.
  3. Your personal brand is your reputation. Be protective of your audience and that indirectly protects your personal brand. When you recommend products just for the money, when you have collaborations with shady people just for exposure, things like that tarnish your reputation and can damage a personal brand beyond repair. So always go into things with the right intent (see the previous point) and always be transparent with your audience. Do those and your personal brand will thrive.
  4. Use Facebook Lives to build your audience. There are hardly any platforms that can help you get explosive growth anymore, but for now, going live on Facebook is one of them. Yes, you still want to follow the same principles of showing up consistently, giving real value and being entertaining, but the algorithm on facebook rewards pages that regularly use live video. You’ll find that you’ll be exposed to more and more new audiences the more lives you do. So think about adding Facebook Lives to your content rotation.
  5. Repurpose your content everywhere. This is the YouTube Power Hour, but don’t ignore the other platforms that can help you get your message out. You don’t know where your 1,000 true fans will find your content then go and subscribe to your channel so try to put the content you make for YouTube onto other platforms. Add your videos to Facebook Watch, LinkedIn if it’s business content, make micro-clips and put them on IGTV, Instagram Stories and in the grid, put them on your website, on Twitter. You’ll be surprised how well that works to reach people when you show up everywhere.
  6. What makes you stand out is your authenticity. Tiffany said in this episode that there’s almost no end to the “How to” type content online. And it’s true – so what makes some YouTubers stand out and get to the top of the platform with huge amounts of subscribers, views, and influence? They have opened themselves up to show their truth. Their stance, their values. They’ve given you the window to see things from their perspective. So it’s not only about giving content, it’s about knowing who you are and what you bring to the table and showing it in a way that helps and entertains people.
