Now we’re diving into what videos solidified her comeback and we’re getting a front-row view into her genius for picking video ideas, how she creates content and the secrets for growth and making herself a hit machine! It may look simple and obvious now that she’s made a comeback and doubled her subscribers, but when she came back, she had a dead channel. Her old videos were getting a trickle of views, and the new her wasn’t jiving for some. Sometimes it was discouraging to see the subscriber numbers plummet when she posted new content. But she kept with it. She kept her positive attitude and eventually got to a turning point. She made a video on exposing America’s Next Top Model and that started her rise again. She maintained that momentum and struck gold again by hitting her most-watched video which was also a sponsored video about Zodiac Signs. It got over 5 million views! She wasn’t only back, but now, she’s sitting pretty at almost 1.8 million subscribers.

- Hit all the notes. It’s not only all about titles and thumbnails. For your videos to have the maximum effect, you need to optimize all the areas: keywords, tags, is the video riding on a trending topic, are you using hashtags. There are many areas Natalia looks at for her every one of her videos and she does a lot of research to make sure she’s up to date on all the latest updates.
- Reverse engineer your videos. Natalia creates videos with the end in mind. She has the topic, thumbnail and title researched and ready before she even thinks about how she will execute on the filming on the video. That outside-in conceptualizing of videos allows her to know the video will be a hit before she even makes it because she’s posing as her ideal viewer watching and loving the video.
- Good audio makes a difference. Natalia says she heard a noticeable difference when she started using a Blue Yeti microphone, and her subscribers heard it too. It’s very hard to get ahead with poor audio. You might get a pass for glitchy or grainy video even poor filming, but if the audio is bad, most people won’t stick around.
- Youtube is very rewarding, but a lot of hard work. And that hard work is constant. It’s never-ending. After you hit a high for one successful video, before you can fully celebrate, you’re working on the next video. You’re constantly researching and responding to your community. You’re expected to be on all the time, not just online, but in real life, because you’re a public figure now. This life you’re heading into, go in with both eyes open because the downsides are not often shared
