As a woman, creator, and mom, I’ve had long stretches where filming was the last thing I wanted to do. I remember after having my baby—YouTube felt impossible. Hair? Makeup? Energy? Nope.
And I hear this from my clients all the time:
“I don’t feel like being on camera. I have ideas, but I’m exhausted.”

Here’s my honest take: This tech will get better. And eventually, it will go mainstream. But right now, most niches aren’t ready for it. Viewers still crave authenticity.
What This Means for Your Channel
So what’s next?
I believe we’re about to see a split on YouTube:

On one side: Information-heavy content delivered by AI clones (think news, education, tutorials)

On the other: Human-driven, personality-first content—vlogs, behind-the-scenes, live streams
And maybe even a hybrid model:
AI videos for volume, you on camera for connection.
As one viewer told me:
“Not everything I search needs a personal connection. Sometimes I just want a quick answer.”
But when it comes to emotional resonance? People still want people.
So here’s my advice:
Build your personal brand now.
Trust and connection are your competitive advantage. It’s the one thing AI can’t replicate.

Maybe. But not yet.
Unless you’re in a niche where consistent content is everything and you hate filming, I say: stay human for now.
But also—don’t dismiss this. Because in 3–5 years? We might all have AI clones on our team.
